Crossing the so called “Hohe Tauern”, a high mountain range here in Austria, I took these pictures. It’s amazing how quickly the weather changes in the mountains.
On this warm spring day I went on the first hiking tour of the season.
The region we went to is of immense natural beauty with its deep blue lakes and snow-capped mountains.
It also has a tradition of salt-mining from which it derived its name “Salzkammergut”.
Autumn is the most beautiful season for hiking in my opinion.
The wide range of colours nature uses to paint its forests at this time of the year is simply amazing.
Spending a whole day outdoors, walking along small, idyllic paths and enjoying the last warm rays of the sun, clears your mind for the things which are really important in life.
On a hike through the so called `Hagengebirge´ here in Austria we came across this idyllic, hidden place.
It used to be a small mountain lake but it looks like it has completely dried up over this year’s unusually hot summer…
Last weekend we went to my boyfriend’s hometown, which is a small, idyllic place near a lake surrounded by high mountains.
While we walked along a small path next to the lake, brown and yellow leaves were falling into the water, creating an autumn-like impression…
Last weekend I went on a hiking trip with my sister.
It had been raining heavily the night before our trip, but in the morning the clouds suddenly disappeared and it became a beautiful day which we spent walking from one mountain top to the other!
Today I took some pictures on my way up quite a high mountain.
I like how parts of the mountain are hidden behind the clouds…
Today I took a day off to go hiking, take some lovely pictures and enjoy the beauty of nature.
On my way through the forest, I came across the ruin of an medieval castle. What a romantic place!
Sometimes I find it hard to believe how beautiful nature is.
The nuances of green and brown in the autumn forests, the beauty of the sun shining through the leaves, the gurgling of the small creeks and ponds…
You just have to take a walk and watch this amazing spectacle!
