While I was walking around my favourite lake “Eibensee” near my home town today I took some pictures of the blooming nature.
These flowers might not be as colourful and lush like tulips or roses, but they have their own wild beauty.
If you wonder about the bottle cap, this seems to be a remnant of someone’s picnic at the lake including typical Austrian beer…:-)
I rediscovered pastel drawing pencils and did these small pictures with them.
They should also serve as inspiration sketches for a series of woodcuts I want to do.
Let’s see how that’s going to work out…
I did these small sketches with soft pastel drawing pencils using my macro photographs as a source of inspiration.
I guess they will also look nice as a series of small-scale prints…
Having bought a macro lens for my camera, I wanted to try it out as soon as possible.
This winter holiday we’re not going anywhere so we have just been walking around taking pictures of the beautiful nature surrounding as here in Austria.
Nature’s beauty can be seen in every little detail…
Halloween is pumpkin time, also in the kitchen, so I made this quite delicious carrot-pumpkin cake today.
Autumn is the most beautiful season for hiking in my opinion.
The wide range of colours nature uses to paint its forests at this time of the year is simply amazing.
Spending a whole day outdoors, walking along small, idyllic paths and enjoying the last warm rays of the sun, clears your mind for the things which are really important in life.
Last weekend we went to my boyfriend’s hometown, which is a small, idyllic place near a lake surrounded by high mountains.
While we walked along a small path next to the lake, brown and yellow leaves were falling into the water, creating an autumn-like impression…
I like these quick black and white ink drawings…
