Bookbinding is a beautiful process. I did these small notebooks and albums using my handprinted paper.
What I like about them is that every single piece is unique in its print and colour combination.
Nepal is a country of extremes. Snow-capped mountain ranges, tropical jungles, lush vegetation during monsoon season, colourful prayer flags flying in the wind – impressions even the experienced traveller will never forget…
Here are just some inspiring impressions how colourful the world can be…
Here are some pictures of yesterday’s printing workshop.
We printed some colourful spring motifs using linocut plates and used screenprinting to print on fabric.
Needless to say we had a lot fun…
I’ve been working on some nice Christmas cards and packaging recently.
I got very simple brown packages and tags and printed on them. I also used pages of old books which I painted over with gold and silver linocut colour. Finally I decorated some of the tags with Christmas washi tape.
They look pretty nice, don’t they?
I did these bookmarks for a fun competition where you had to create a piece of art out of an empty milk carton.
I also like the cow on the carton which was designed by an Austrian artist called Basdera. It’s interesting what you can make out of used things…
