Nepali Sketches

Whenever I travel somewhere, I take a small sketchbook with me. These sketches where done while travelling through Nepal, some of them on typical Nepali handmade paper.

Sometimes all it needs is a quick sketch of a remarkable scene, which you can later turn into a larger painting.

Drypoint Printing

I haven’t been able to do intaglio printing since I left university because I didn’t have a printing press at home. Well, those days are over now!

I got myself a very small printing press which works quite well, at least for small size prints. So these are my first attempts at intaglio printing using acrylic glass as printing plates and washable printing colour. I find this technique so intriguing…

Ink Drawings

These drawings were done quickly with black drawing ink in a small sketchbook.
Often the sketches done without much effort are sometimes the ones which are most interesting…

Small City Drawings

Limerick, Cambridge and Prague – three beautiful cities I’ve been to.

I turned some of my favourite pictures of these cities into small ink and watercolour drawings on postcards.

My Dawanda Shop

I’ve been thinking about opening my own online shop for quite some time.

Well, now I finally opened it! I want to offer some of my favourite linocut and woodcut prints there so if you’re interested, please have a look:

Pastel Pictures

I rediscovered pastel drawing pencils and did these small pictures with them.

They should also serve as inspiration sketches for a series of woodcuts I want to do.

Let’s see how that’s going to work out…

Coloured Drawings of Nature

Here are some quick drawings for which I used some of my favourite travel pictures as inspiration.

Doing a sketch of a beautiful place sometimes feels like visiting the place again…
