Whenever I travel somewhere, I take a small sketchbook with me. These sketches where done while travelling through Nepal, some of them on typical Nepali handmade paper.
Sometimes all it needs is a quick sketch of a remarkable scene, which you can later turn into a larger painting.
What part of Nepal is this?
We travelled to Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Chitwan National Park and Balthali. The last place is situated in a wonderful region with green hills and beautiful rice terraces.
Simply beautiful ❤
Lovely, I especially like the way you use colour in the middle right-hand side one (with the eyes).
Thank you so much! I also like your playful watercolour paintings.
So Cute 😊
Thanks!
Would you mind telling me which Colors you have used for the sketches? They do not appear to be watercolor, gouache maybe?
Of course!
I actually did use watercolor for the one sketch of the prayer flags, but those were watercolour pencils, which you can smudge with some drops of water.
I also used black drawing ink.
Thanks, let me tell you one thing, considering the fact that those were watercolors, your sketches do have some brilliant details. 🙂
Thanks so much for your nice comment!
You’re welcome
